Each year, Collaborate Delta recognizes an individual who has gone above and beyond in their community to help bring the Collaborate Delta values, vision, and mission to life. We’re pleased to recognize these individuals and congratulate them on their contributions.
Rev. Cari Copeman-Haynes
Rev. Cari Copeman-Haynes, lead minister at Crossroads United Church in Delta, was recognized by Collaborate Delta as the 20114 Collaborator of the Year at a recent special presentation during the organization’s AGM. Rev. Cari has been called a “natural collaborator” because of her delight in connecting with other groups to accomplish shared goals.Through Crossroads, community members in particular ways, and large-scale ministries such as Crossroads’ monthly Community Dinner incorporate partnerships with many other community groups in order to provide a healthy home-made meal and warm hospitality to over 100 people each month.
Doug Sabourin is known throughout Delta as a changemaker. His finesse as the past Executive Director of Deltassist Family and Community Services helped the organization maintain its prominence as one of Delta’s leading Social Service agencies. Doug is also one of the co-founder’s of Collaborate Delta, and now in his retirement we thought it appropriate to celebrate the impact he has made in Delta through recognizing him as the 2015 Collaborator of the Year.
